Paradox Interactive Community Manager John Rickne announced a new update to the city-building sim Cities: Skylines, featuring new heightened building and zone limits and mod support for features in the DLC, After Dark.
The announcement came via Paradox’s official forum, where Rickne posted the lengthy announcement detailing notes of the update. The raises in limitation were simple enough, but many changes were geared towards the Asset and Map Editors and Content Manager for the game specifically regarding the After Dark DLC. It would seem these changes are set to streamline modding in many prominent areas of the game.
The announcement also went answer to answer some common community feedback and deliver an idea of what might come next for Cities: Skylines. Many of the items listed were bug fixes that the Cities team intends to address at some point or another. The full announcement can be read here.
The update is live now and Cities: Skylines and it’s DLC, After Dark, can both be found on Steam or on the Paradox Interactive website.
