Capcom has been on a roll with bringing its Resident Evil franchise classics into a new era of gaming. Following the heels of the successful Resident Evil HD Remastered release, Resident Evil 0 HD Remastered is fast approaching. Today, Capcom announced an official release date and pre-order bonus content for the game.
Announced in a video from the official Resident Evil Youtube channel, players on most systems will score additional costumes for Billy and Rebecca. Rebecca gets the somewhat fan service-looking (not to mention walking Capcom billboard) Cheerleader costume from Resident Evil: Deadly Silence and Billy gets a Wolf Force costume inspired by the 1991 top-down Capcom arcade shooter, Mercs.
Resident Evil HD Remastered brought the Game Cube version of the game back in stellar form, smoothing textures and giving a sleek new color and atmosphere to the environments of the game. Resident Evil 0 HD Remastered is sure to bring a similar enhanced revisit of its Game Cube counterpart. Pre-order for Resident Evil 0 is available now and those who skipped over the original remaster will be able to bundle digital copies of Resident Evil HD Remastered and Resident Evil 0 HD Remastered together in the Origins Collection for a discounted price. Though this package has been announced, it is not yet available on Steam.
Nonetheless, Resident Evil 0 HD Remastered is officially slated for January 19, 2015.
