The Pip Boy Edition of Fallout 4 was one of the hottest preorder items of the year. The special edition came with an item, which some have called ”a glorified smart phone case,” that players slid their smart phones into to function as an actual Pip Boy using the appropriate iOS/Android software. Unfortunately, it seems that GAME UK wasn’t able to fulfill all of its preorders.
The real issue is, however, that GAME UK had players putting down a 20 quid preorder deposit on the game, and if they used Paypal, they received this message in their email box:
Naturally, this has led to an explosion of angry Tweets on GAME’s feed, as noted by Godus developer 22Cans’ PR manager Colin Gallacher:

The Fallout 4 Pip Boy Edition ran gamers 100 quid, and the game is being released today.
