DICE is well on their way to dropping an extensive holiday update for Battlefield 4, but in the mean time, they’d like to remind of the Legacy Operations DLC that will be coming as well. They released a fantastic cinematic trailer for the upcoming free content.
DICE announced Legacy Operations shortly after the release of their Operation Outbreak DLC in October. Legacy Operations provides players with a revamped and revitalized revisit to the Battlefield 2 map, Dragon Valley. The map takes place in a sprawling oriental valley strewn with rivers and bridges.
The map has been renovated to meet Battlefield 4’s clearly superior capabilities many years later, but keeps the spirit and strategic importance of the original map alive in its bridges, hillside bases and, of course, valleys. The DLC was supposed to come alongside the holiday patch which will cap off updates and improvements on Battlefield 4 for 2015. DICE has reported that the update complete and in certification now.
The download of the new patch will be automatic, but though Legacy Operations will be free, players must download it in a separate file.
