Psychonauts 2 is well on its way to success in its crowdfunding campaign, but Double Fine hasn’t forgotten what it took to get this far. Tim Schafer’s development studio has released a three part in-depth documentary that looks back at the original Psychonauts.
The series was released on Double Fine’s Youtube channel and created with help from 2 Player Productions. This fascinating documentary series hosts many of the creative talents at Double Fine, including Tim Schafer himself, as they re-explore the excitement, dismay, wins, and losses that they faced in bringing the Psychonauts game to market.
The crowdfunding effort for Psychonauts 2 is in full swing and well on its way to success. As of this posting, it’s already reached 70% of its lofty goal of $3.3 million with more than a month left to go. In just a handful of days after the initial announcement of the campaign, it had already collected over a million dollars in pledges. It’s possible funding could slow down, but as it goes now, Double Fine seems more than set to meet its goal.
