El Presidente wants to do PR damage control and the new Gone Green DLC helps him not only clean up his image, but literally clean up the island of Tropico itself. This new Tropico 5 DLC is out today.
It introduces the ”clean, renewable source” of wind power with the new Wind Farm. That should help offset all that crude oil we’re pumping out to the Superpowers. A new island and scenario are included.
Until now the only real ‘renewable’ source of energy was the geothermal plants, but these are vulnerable to explosive spurts from the active volcano nearby, and they cost to upgrade so they don’t pollute. Options were quite limited if you want to pursue a more eco-friendly energy sector.
Catch the Toucan! is the new added scenario with Gone Green, as is The Windfarm, a new dynasty avatar accessory, a new sandbox map and another music track and additional voice overs.
Tropico 5 - Gone Green is available today for £2.49 / €2.99 / $3.99. It will be added to Steam later.
