Codemasters’ action RPG spin-off Overlord: Fellowship of Evil was delayed last month, and pushed back to an October 20 release date. Here’s the latest trailer for the co-op dungeon crawler.
Your four playable villains, or Netherghūls as they’re known in-game, are Croys the ice mage, Inferna the armoured warrior, Hakon the dwarf, and Malady the sorceress. Each character commands a squad of minions in battle, and each has their own set of skills and spells to use on pesky do-gooders like elves and paladins.
“The Netherghūls in Overlord: Fellowship of Evil are a real bunch of ne’er-do-wells, as you’d expect from an Overlord game.” says Carl Johnson, chief design minion (possibly not his official title) at Codemasters “They’re as likely to stab each other in the back as they are to work together.”
I’m still not entirely convinced by this shift to Diablo-style hack-and-slashery, but who knows, maybe Fellowship of Evil will prove me wrong.
