Volume One of anime action game Afro Samurai 2: Revenge of Kuma will drop on September 22, developer Redacted Studios has revealed.
This time it’s not the titular, Samuel L. Jackson-voiced character that’s the main protagonist, but his childhood friend Kuma, who likes to wear a teddy bear’s head for a hat. Fair enough.
”After witnessing the slaughter of all those he loved and facing near death himself, Kuma has risen from the ashes as a cybernetically enhanced killing machine, with one goal in mind, bloody revenge,” reads the plot synopsis.
The game features ”dynamic dismemberment”, a cast of familiar characters (providing you’ve watched the anime series, I suppose) and a story penned by American Sniper screenwriter Jim DeFelice. Music is handled by hip-hop artist RZA.
No word on price yet, either per episode or for a Season Pass, but the game is now listed [url=http://store.steampowered.com/app/322160/]on Steam.
