A new trailer for Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain has been released and it’s directed by series creator Hideo Kojima, so expect almost 6 minutes of ‘what the hell just happened!?’ to assault you.
The Phantom Pain is set after the events in the prologue release of Ground Zeroes. We play as Big Boss as he hunts those responsible in Afghanistan for ruining his private military company.
Unlike previous Metal Gear titles, The Phantom Pain is set in an open world and we’re aided by other characters we can call in.
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain releases on PC September 1st.
