The merciless space sim Into the Stars has just received its first patch since debuting through Steam Early Access. The biggest additions atop the changelog are support for 16:10 ratios and Windowed mode.
Other tweaks include a ‘Take All’ button for resources, more planet events, adjusted the ‘auto interact’ distance with planets and generally started chipping away at bugs. Their priority is to ”remove barriers to entry” for players.
Developer Fugitive Games have also put together a Quick Guide for new space captains to use as Into the Stars has some unique approaches, especially when it comes to handling combat.
”Our priority is to remove barriers to entry for you all while addressing ongoing issues and adding new content,” said the team. Be sure to give our Into the Stars competition a look.
”Our team scrambled over the weekend and thanks to some clever adjustments by Marc & Alden we were able to work around previous issues and implement some of your most wanted items. These are by no means perfect just yet, but they should alleviate a number of problems players were encountering, and we will continue to iterate and improve the experience from here,” read the latest update.
