After more than three years in development, including a year and a half stint on Steam Early Access, Crate Entertainment’s Gothic action RPG Grim Dawn is almost ready for a full release.
As part of the latest Build 26 update, the final section of the game’s story campaign is now fully complete, the level cap has been increased to 50, and there are over 70 new epic-tier items to play with. Good things come to those who wait a really long time.
“Act 3 is now complete and you may venture forth beyond the northern walls of Homestead and into the Cult of Ch’thon’s territory,” the developer writes. “You may now become an ally of either the Order of Death’s Vigil or the Kymon’s Chosen factions, or earn their hatred and spawn their Nemesis!”
The team aren’t done yet, either. Grim Dawn remains on course for a late 2015 release, but before then players can expect a bunch of additions, including “Legendary Items, the Devotion System, an unannounced 6th Mastery (class), and more!”
You can find a full rundown of the changes in Build 26 over on the game’s official forums. Grim Dawn is currently available at a 35% discount thanks to the ongoing Steam Summer Sale.
