Frictional Games is offering its cult first-person horror game Amnesia: The Dark Descent for free on Steam, but you’ve only got a few hours left to snap it up.
The deal runs until 10AM PT/18:00GMT. If you manage to nap up the game during that time you’ll find it added to your Steam library permanently.

Amnesia: The Dark Descent[/url] is one of the pioneer entries in the now ubiquitous ‘run around in the dark while an indestructible, relentless monster hunts you’ genre. It’s a good example of the form, and utilises an interesting mechanic whereby looking at the monster causes you to lose your sanity, drawing the beast closer.
The offer is in celebration of the fact that Frictional’s next game SOMA is just around the corner, set for release on September 22.
