Double Damage Games’ space adventure game Rebel Galaxy will be released on PC via Steam and GOG this October 20, the studio has announced.
From the minds of Travis Baldree and Erich Schaefer, two of the creative minds behind action RPG stalwarts Torchlight and Diablo, Rebel Galaxy puts you in charge of a capital ship and sets you loose in a randomly-generated galaxy.
The basic combat is focused on action, rather than simulation, and you’re able to jump into one of your devastating weapons arrays in order to unleash hell on your enemies. Outisde of the game’s space battles, you can negotiate and interact with a cast of aliens, criminals and pirates, making alliances and enemies as you go. “We’re very happy to announce the launch date for Rebel Galaxy,” says Double Damage co-founder Baldree. “We’ve had more fun making this game than anything else we’ve ever done, and we’re excited - and a little nervous! - to see it out in the world.”
