It’s been awhile since Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition and the enhanced version of its sequel sought to bring us back to the Forgotten Realms and introduced a whole new generation of players to one of the greatest RPG series of all time. Now, a new expansion for the classic RPG is just around the corner with Siege of Dragonspear and Beamdog has announced the expansion is content complete.
Announced via Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition Creative Director Trent Oster’s Twitter and via an update from Beamdog’s Baldur’s Gate website, it would appear that Siege of Dragonspear will be in player’s hands before too long. What does “content complete” mean? It means that everything that needs to be in the game is where it’s supposed to be and it’s just a matter of smashing bugs and making the game clean now.
We are Content Complete on Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear. From here on we find, fix and finish. The game will say when it is done

Siege of Dragonspear is more than just a little content update. It’s practically a whole game featuring a 25 hour long story, new companions, a new class, and new areas etc. It’s a great way to not only revisit Baldur’s Gate, but also make the entire experience feel fresh again.
That said, despite being content complete, there is no confirmed release date for Siege of Dragonspear just yet, but all things considered, it probably can’t be too far off. In the mean time, you can check out the interview Writer Amber Scott and Trent Oster gave with Dragon+ and check out a short story centered around the character Glint Gardnersonson from the game.
