Good times for PC fans of Japanese console-only titles right now. We had the excellent Valkyria Chronicles pop up on Steam last year, and it looks like another cult JRPG might join it.
A listing has popped up on Steam for Tales of Zestiria, a recently released title currently only available on the PS3.
The listing title has been changed to simply ‘TOZ’ now, but users on NeoGAF managed to get hold of a screen-grab of the original listing. Unlike Valkyria this wouldn’t be a port of a game released years ago - Tales of Zestiria only dropped in January 2015.
The game stars Sorey, a young chap gifted with special powers by a mysterious race called the Seraphim. He uses his magical powers to protect the world from the Hellion, creatures spawned by negative emotions. It uses a real-time action RPG combat system.
This isn’t surefire proof that Tales of Zestiria will definitely hit PCs - titles have been added as a listing on Steam before without ever making it - but the signs are fairly positive. Publisher Bandai Namco’s been pretty good at porting over its console and Japanese region hits recently. The listing doesn’t reveal any kind of potential release date.
