It’s been a while since there’s been any official words on the PC port of the conclusion to the Final Fantasy XIII game. Last time we heard anything, it was simply that the game would be coming in December. Now, finally there’s an official date.
The date was finally put up on Steam on the game’s page. Not so much announced, nor with any other details offered, it’s a little odd to see such minimal details even as we’re less than a month away from the launch of the game. It’s possible there’s not much interest in extensive marketing for Lightning Returns given the popularity of other much higher profile Square Enix projects actively receiving support such as Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward.
It’s another strange matter that this comes so much later after Final Fantasy XIII-2 came to Steam. The game was ported over to PC in December of 2014, following only two months after the PC port of the original Final Fantasy XIII, which was released in October 2014.
Whatever the case, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII is slated for December 10th on PC.
