It’s been thirteen years since Age of Mythology launched, adding a supernatural spin and a shiny 3D engine to the classic real-time strategy series. You might think your odds of getting a new expansion would be pretty low.
You’d be wrong. Coming soon is Tale of the Dragon, an add-on for the game’s Extended Edition that introduces a new Chinese faction, and presumably a new campaign.
I say presumably because we don’t actually know what the new expansion contains. Developers Forgotten Empires and SkyBox Labs promise to reveal more in a Twitch livestream this October 2, which you can check out here.
In case you’d forgotten, the same development team is also working on The African Kingdoms, a new expansion for Age of Empires 2 HD that adds the Malian civilisation.
