Mighty No. 9 has had a lot of backers frustrated with its track record of delays, but a report via GameSpark claims Inafune publicly addressed concerns about the game, its setbacks, and his expectations and future plans for the indie-backed IP at a recent lecture at Unreal Fest 2015 in Yokohama.
In his address, Inafune attributed the delays for Mighty No. 9 to troubles with trying to make the game compatible on multiple platforms. At this time the game is already set to release on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Wii U with future plans for the PS Vita and Nintendo 3DS also in the works. Nonetheless, Inafune claimed that the game will “absolutely will not be delayed” again.
Inafune also hinted at the possibility of a sequel for Mighty No. 9 should it be successful.
The game is set to release in North America on February 9th and worldwide on February 12th. Let’s hope Comcept can back Inafune’s claims.
