Spiders, by which I mean the development team behind RPGs Bound of Flame and Mars: War Logs rather than actual spiders, is developing a sort-of sequel to the latter.
The Technomancer is a post-apocalyptic adventure set on Mars, in which you play one of the titular warriors, who use a combination of technology and magic to battle both alien monsters and evil human coporations. Here’s five minutes of the game in action.
Animations and character models look a bit stiff, but the environmental design and combat systems look decent enough. It’s not exactly enough to get me jumping around with excitement, but there’s room for a decent B-movie sci-fi RPG in my life. As long as its a bit more polished than the studio’s last effort.
This is pre-Alpha footage, it’s important to note. Plenty of time to get the game polished up for release, though Spiders isn’t saying when that might be just yet.
