Brace Yourself Games’ dungeon dance-fest Crypt of the NecroDancer has moved out of Early Access on Steam, and to celebrate the team has released a mini documentary chronicling their development process.
The documentary covers the team’s approach to art design, music composition, and Early Access development. There’s also a glimpse at the endless trips to indie game conventions and preview events involved in promoting a new game.
“We have had such an amazing time working on Crypt of the NecroDancer that we thought we’d let you take a peek behind the scenes to see how it all went down!”, writes the team in an announcement post. “We took the game to festivals all around the world, meeting fans, making lifelong friends, and learning how to make the game the best it could be. We hope you enjoy our minidocumentary and the full game! Here’s to two and a half years that none of us will ever forget.”
Brace Yourself also revealed some of the extra content that will be in the game at launch, including two new playable soundtrack remixes by A_Rival and FamilyJules7X, an [n]“insanely difficult”[/n] new character called Coda, and a new Codex room for teaching advanced mechanics.
Oh, and most importantly you can now actually finish the game. Hooray! Crypt of the NecroDancer is currently available for 25% off on Steam.
