An expansion is on the way to RPG Pillars of Eternity but so is Update 2.0 and with it come sought after features, as well as the usual slew of bug fixes and balance tweaks. Did somebody say… ‘individual stealth’?
The new feature will let us decide who in the party enters stealth and not expose the entire party if one is spotted. We’ll also get to toggle party AI on/off and define their behaviours for less micro-management.
Range indicators will become a new part of the UI and give us direct visual feedback on how far a wizard’s spell can travel, or the minimum distance a ranger needs with their bow. Accuracy indicators are another addition putting a chance to hit percentage above the heads of foes, or friendlies if the ability has AOE.
These new Update 2.0 features are available to all when they go live, says Obsidian, and so it’s not necessary to buy The White March: Part 1, expansion if it doesn’t tickle your cRPG fancy. It’s due to release ‘soon’ and increases the level and includes new companions.
