Turbo Gun’s stealth platformer Master Spy is out next month on various digital platforms, and it doesn’t look like it’s going to be taking any prisoners.
You play as a super spy trying to sneak his way through various supervillain strongholds, and while you do have a nifty timed stealth-camo device for tricking wandering guards, it’s of limited use against sharks, tigers, and whirring chainsaw blades that come out of the damned walls. That’s got to be violating some kind of health and safety legislation.
The game’s presented in crisp, retro pixel style, punctuated with cutscenes that tell a story of ”espionage, intrigue, and betrayal” Judging by the launch trailer below, you’ll need some well-honed reflexes to survive. And in case you find things a bit too easy, you can always try out ‘Blind Master’ mode, which restricts your vision so you can barely see all the slavering tigers hurling thsemselves at you.
Look for Master Spy on Steam, Humble Store and Turbo Gun’s own website this September 8. Pre-ordering the game from the official website will net you a 15% discount.
