Capcom announced during Paris Games Week that Street Fighter V finally has a confirmed launch date. The game will be available in Europe and the America on February 16th. This comes alongside announcement of Dhalsim as a playable fighter, as well as six mystery characters that will be released after the game’s debut.
Dhalsim is showing a little more age than usual, sporting a full beard, but the yoga fighting master is just as bendy and tricky as ever, showcasing a lot of fan-favorite moves and tactics along with a few new tools at his disposal. Dhalsim is looking to be a welcome edition back to the Street Fighter roster.
There’s little info on the six mystery characters that are going to come after Street Fighter V’s release other than a graphic showing silhouettes of each fighter and the method by which to obtain them. The characters can be earned via Fight Money which can be earned in game or purchased with real money. The silhouettes leave a lot to the imagination and speculation abound as to who we can expect to see in the game.
Street Fighter V is set to have one more beta testing prior to the release of the game and the notes of today’s announcement can be found in a post at Capcom Unity.
