Rocket League made its name via the PS Plus free game initiative, but don’t think it’s just a one hit wonder that got lucky – the car football hit has now racked up 1 million sales on Steam.
Developer Psyonix is understandably pretty happy with that, and to celebrate it’s holding a 10% off sale for the next forty-eight hours.
The teams also confirmed that Rocket League is coming to SteamOS and Mac later this year. For a game that’s about as conceptually simple as you can possibly get, this is a pretty remarkable success story. Combined PC and console sales were at the 5 million mark last month, and the game’s still going strong.
