The fine people over at Rockstar have released their holiday offering for October in the form of the Halloween Surprise event. Available now, the event features a new game mode to play around with and several goodies players will have a chance to collect and keep permanently even after the event is over.
The new game mode for the event is the Slasher Adversary Mode, which is for up to 8 players. One player becomes the “slasher” and is armed with a shotgun while the other players must run and hide, armed with only flashlights. Potential victims can use the flashlight to find their way in the dark terrain, but at the risk of giving away their position to the slasher. Survive for three minutes and you’ll be rewarded with a shotgun of your own.
The new collectibles include Halloween-themed face paint and Vespucci monster movie masks, as well as two new vehicles in the form of the Lurcher Hearse and the Franken Stange. The hearse is covered in somber skulls, with an unsettling fellow looking out the back window and the Franken Stange looks like a hot rod right out of Hell.
Get in on the event and gather up these goodies because it all ends on November 16th.
