Original Dead Island developer Techland has of course moved on to Olympic-level zombie parkour in Dying Light. We’ll be going to the mainland in Dead Island 2.
It takes place several months after the events in the original game, and Escape Dead Island. Instead of sledgehammering zombies on pristine island beaches, we’ll now be battling hordes in Los Angeles, San Francisco and a third undisclosed location.
The U.S. military quarantines the entire state of California because of a new outbreak.
Dead Island 2 releases on PC, Xbox One and PS4 in 2016. It’s powered by Unreal Engine 4.
