Fatshark have announced DLC for Vermintide that brings three new levels to the game. The DLC is called Drachenfels, named after the abandoned Castle Drachenfels.
Martin Wahlund, CEO of Fatshark, had this to say about the DLC in the press release: “Players get to explore three brand new levels around the abandoned Castle Drachenfels. Drachenfels also introduces deadly traps and torches to help navigate the pitch black dungeons”.
Vermintide has sold half a million copies already on PC, it will also be sold on consoles later this year. This is the second piece of downloadable content released by Fatshark that has a price on it. Before this, the last two DLC packs were completely free; Last Stand & Sigmar’s Blessing. We don’t know what the price of Drachenfels will be, but we will post any information once we receive it. Schluesselschloss cost £1.99 when it was released in March, so it might be within that price range.
Here are the key features of Drachenfels:
• Castle Drachenfels - Walk through the ancient rooms of Castle Drachenfels, covered in the blood and bones of the past.
• Summoner’s Peak - Foil the Skaven’s plan by destroying the Nurgle portals and put a halt to their reinforcements.
• The Dungeons - Stumble your way through the dark and dingy dungeon of Drachenfels, avoiding traps and using torches to light your way through the darkness.
Warhammer: The End Times – Vermintide is developed by indie team Fatshark. Check out our review of the game here. Nick Horth thought highly of the first person combat, “Once you get your hands on the Wizard’s flaming broadsword, it’s hard to look at any other video game weapon in the same way”.
