I always contend that there isn’t enough anime on Steam, and while the indie–sorry, “doujin soft”–visual novels that have flooded into the storefront have challenged that, we’re still lacking in big-budget Japanese development. But then, I guess the world at large is lacking in big-budget Japanese development. Anyway, One Piece Burning Blood is coming to Steam!
Burning Blood is an arena-style fighting game featuring contests between three-man teams made up of favorite One Piece characters. Over 30 characters are in the game, and Devil Fruits and “Haki” special moves can do massive damage to any opponent. The game’s story mode retells the original’s Marinefold War arc.
There a tons of great games still to come in 2016. Check out our list of upcoming PC games!
Preordering will get you access to three new Luffy variations–Luffy Gear 4th, Kung Fu Luffy, and Afro Luffy–each acting as a new character, as well as a customizable HUD. An extra $25 will get you upgraded to the Gold Edition, featuring 4 new characters, 9 character alternates, and 14 costumes plus the exclusive Platinum Luffy.
The PC version of One Piece Burning Blood will be on Steam September 1. If you’re behind, that gives you almost a month to catch up on all 700-plus episodes of the anime. Plenty of time!
