Sci-fi strategy game, Stellaris will launch at 5pm BST today. Set two hundred years in the future, Stellaris promises “deep strategic gameplay, a rich and enormously diverse selection of alien races and emergent storytelling”.
Created by Paradox Development Studio, (the makers of the Europa Universalis series and Crusader Kings), Stellaris will empower you to create your own galactic empire. It’s up to you whether you choose to operate forcefully or peacefully as you colonize newfound planets and discover alien civilizations. With its procedurally generated galaxies, advanced Diplomacy system and beautiful visuals, this game may be worth a look.
One thing to note about Stellaris’ launch is that there will not be a pre-load of the game before its release at 5pm. However, the file size is only around 4GB so downloading it shouldn’t be too much of a problem. There’s also still a few hours left for you to pre-order the game and send your name into (almost) space. Yes, you read that correctly. Paradox have stated that they will literally take your name and launch it into the upper stratosphere on a weather balloon. They are going to film this event too, so you’ll be able to watch it.
Furthermore, Paradox are currently streaming on Twitch to introduce the game, talk about some of the design decisions and give away some free stuff.
