Reorganize those 2017 plans yet again, as Deep Silver has out-right denied the existence of a Metro 2033 game planned for next year.
Despite being listed on the official Metro website through a timeline entry at the bottom, publisher Deep Silver has said that release event simply won't be happening.
While they reassure the franchise being close to their heart and being worked on, they played safe by saying "Deep Silver has ambitious plans for the hugely successful Metro series. But just to manage our fans' expectations - releasing the next Metro game in 2017 is not one of them."
So what's going on? Why would the official website tell us a 2017 release for the next Metro title is gospel? Of course we'd take that for what it is, yet apparently it isn't true. Just who can you trust in these situations? Hopefully Deep Silver will have more to say on the matter soon.
If you've yet to join in with the Metro franchise, you can pick up the Redux bundle through Steam.
