Awesome Games Done Quick has come and gone once more and the event has made its mark upon the gaming landscape with some stellar playthroughs of some of our favorite games. Even greater though is the massive amount of donations collected and given to the Prevent Cancer Foundation.
Even before the events had concluded, the folks running the Games Done Quick Twitter posted that the event had drawn in over $1.2 million for the cause of helping create cancer treatments and preventatives. Out of the week-long event, some great PC playthroughs took place such as the Mirror’s Edge run below. (Skip to 12:05 to see the playthrough start)
Half-Life 2, Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs, and Hotline Miami also featured some pretty good playthroughs to name a few, but the real stars are those who tuned in to make all of this event worthwhile. With a year opening like this for the Games Done Quick folks, the turn out for the upcoming Summer Games Done Quick is sure to have a good showing as well. There are not YouTube links for all of the runs that took place during the event, but you can check out the backlog of most of the playthroughs via the Games Done Quick Twitch channel.
