Looking to have a total of seven factions across 6 different races, Stars in Shadow just revealed two more leading up to that final count.
With the 'Stargate' update now live for Iceberg Interactive's 'Early Access' strategy title, it's finally time to add to the game's list of playable factions; the Phidi Combine and the Ashdar Imperials. Both of these factions are available to all who're currently enjoying the Early Access period.
If you're looking to draft in aid from any available race in the game, the Phidi Combine will likely bring you joy as their access to the Mercenary Exchange allows them to hire forces from any of the currently available groups. The Ashdar, on the other hand, gain access to an ancient stargate capable of warping their kind to any star system on the map. It's a one-way trip, however, so sending them too far likely isn't the best course of action.
Like the sound of it? It might be void of its updates, but our Early Access preview is here.
Launching through Steam's Early Access platform in September, Scen Olsen, lead developer of Ashdar Games said "We'd like to thank all our Early Access participants for their support and helpful feedback and suggestions. The game has come a long way in the last few months, and the Early Access community has been an important part of that progress".
With the final launch set for January, we're only a month from the finished version. If you'd rather have a complete experience going in, it's best to wait for that. Otherwise, you can give it a whirl already.
