Some would call it big, while others would consider it small; but either way you look at it, Minecraft just got an update - the 'Exploration' update.
Completely unaware of which version number we're now sitting on, the Exploration update landed yesterday. There's new treasure locations to trace and track down and evil villagers called 'Illagers' to balance out that whole good and evil scale.
But Minecraft has always been about exploration, hasn't it? More or less. So what else does the update bring to warrant a patch title like that? Well, those treasure locations are said to be pretty dangerous places. That and there's now spooky mansion dungeons scattered around the world. They skipped Halloween, but they're here now.
These mansions likely act as secondary treasure hunting spots - only designed with a little more of a cohesive theme in mind. There's the usual host of spooky monsters and perhaps a mage or two ready to set some plants on you. So what do you do when your bag is full of the good stuff? Ship it off home with a Llama, of course!
The 'Exploration Update' in live now on both the PC and Mac versions of Minecraft.
