After 15 years crafting and releasing Naruto brawlers, CyberConnect 2 will end the series on a high with a new expansion early next year.
Arriving in February as both an add-on for current customers, or in a bundle with the base game, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4: Road to Boruto is described as "a huge volume of content" by a BANDAI NAMCO representative featuring the famous ninja's son as he sets out to better his father.
While the base version of Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 already features a playable side-story from the 'future' arc, Road to Boruto will expand on the lore of new series similar to how the Boruto movie and manga series does currently.
It even looks like Boruto himself will benefit from an updated movepool that what's currently seen in the game.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4: Road to Boruto will be released as both DLC and bundled with the base game 3rd February 2017.
