Funatic Software are bringing Volcano-mountains into play in their Viking simulation/strategy game Valhalla Hills.
According to the press release by Funatic Software, the stony ground can no longer be used for cultivation, leaving the Vikings with no other option but to climb the volcanic mountains. The volcanic mountains’ landscape contains stony soil, full of mineral resources.
Volcanoes are extremely unpredictable. Not only will the Vikings have to be cautious of the erupting volcanoes, they’ll also have to tend with the new Lavatrolls and Firescorpions.
Right now, the DLC is available on Steam at the discounted price of £3.59. Funatic Software say there will be a promotion at GoG for the DLC coming soon, so stay tuned for that.
Check out our review of Valhalla Hills here. Dustin Bailey gave the game a six out of ten, which is listed as average on our scale. Here’s what he had to say about the game: ” It’s a charming, lighthearted game of resource gathering and production. Unfortunately, it’s only really fun when things work smoothly and easily. Figuring out mistakes and solving problems - which should be the core of a good strategy game - are built around solving pathfinding issues, and Valhalla Hills doesn’t do much to make those problems more palatable.”
