With Beta testing for Street Fighter V still in full effect, Capcom released a new patch full of fixes, tweaks, and performance adjustments for the game. However, they included something else that most certainly wasn’t supposed to be exposed just yet: A slew of unannounced costumes hidden among the files of the patch.
Players data mined the files for these unannounced costumes, posting images of them in a gallery on Imgur. As even further proof, the costumes were posted in action in a video which can be seen below. A few of the costumes, such as the bearded Ryu, were known incentives for pre-order but it is unknown when the rest were meant to be revealed.
It would appear that a ton of costumes are slated for the game’s release or immediately after, including matching wrestling attire for Zangief and R. Mika, different soldier’s uniforms for Cammy, and a police uniform for Chun-Li. In all likelihood, these costumes will probably end up as part of some post-release DLC or as part of another bonus deal with the game. Either way, the fact that Capcom had so many stowed up in the beta’s code leaves a lot of speculation for their plans.
Meanwhile, Street Fighter V is slated for release on PC and PS4 on February 16, 2016.
