A new, live-action trailer for Mafia III gives us an up-close look at the game’s take on 1960s Louisiana. The trailer is just a brief cinematic look at the fictionalized city of New Bordeaux, but it sets a grim, violent tone for the proceedings. Pretty much what you’d expect from a gritty crime story set in the historical American south.
Mafia III casts you in the role of Lincoln Clay amid a bloody turf war that the New Bordeaux Police are working to end. Lincoln has declared his own war on the mob, and his legend grows among the people of the so-called Bourbon City, and is even spreading through the swamps and countryside.
Mafia III is one of many great-looking games due out later this year. Check out our full list of upcoming PC games!
The trailer will be featured at San Diego Comic Con. Mafia III is set to release for PC and consoles on October 7.
