I learned a new word today! As an American, I would refer to it as slime, but honestly gunge is an even more descriptive and disgusting word. Why am I discussing viscous nastiness? Why, for charity, of course!
A variety of folks at RuneScape will be running a 24-hour livestream in support of Special Effect, an organization that helps those with disabilities enjoy video games. There’s games, there’s entertainment, there’s auctions, and there’s a 1,000 litre tank of what the team is calling unicorn poo. For every £5,000 raised, a team member will face a tank full of the glittery stuff. Whether that means jumping in or simply facing it is unclear, but I’m sure they’ll be willing to some extra lengths for the sake of charity.
Charity livestreams are one of my favorite things in gaming. I had a great time running one myself last year, and I’ll gladly use this space to help support another. You can check out more about Special Effect at their website, or tune in tomorrow to RuneScape’s Twitch channel. The stream will run from 12 noon GMT on Friday through noon on Saturday.
