Wargaming.net has announced that Steam Early Access is now live for Master of Orion, but the only way to access it is to pre-purchase the Collector’s Edition of the game, which comes with the original three Master of Orion games, a soundtrack, a digital art book and a special Human splinter race, the Khanate.
The current early access build that will be available today features:
- Six races: Alkari, Bulrathi, Human, Psilon, Mrrshan and Sakkra
- Three victory conditions: Conquest, Diplomatic and Excellence
- Tactical Battles
- Ship Design
- Multiplayer
- Most of the core gameplay, allowing a full playthrough on all galaxy sizes
- Playable on 64-bit Windows 7/8/10
- Legacy games: Master of Orion 1, 2 and 3
”Additional races, features, victory conditions, language support and operating systems will be rolled out during Early Access,” promises Wargaming.net.
The Collector’s Edition of Master of Orion costs $49.99, and the finished version is expected to launch later this year.
