Halloween has begun for players of Warhammer: End Times Vermintide as the new 1.4.2 Patch has released with some seasonal content to boot. The beloved Red Moon Inn will have a spooky makeover with Halloween themed decor so players can enjoy some pumpkin juice in-between decimating waves of Skaven.
The patch also comes with two seasonal trinkets that can be obtained through play. These trinkets are only available for a two week period so time is short on picking them up from those giant rat corpses. The nice little Halloween content additions, however, are not the most interesting thing about the patch.
The patch is fairly large and while it does contain various bug fixes and the seasonal content, it contains something more. The developers explain “Whilst the patch is quite large, this includes a slew of preparations for an upcoming unannounced DLC.” The dev’s are laying the early client and in-game ground work for a new unannounced DLC which should excite long-time players.
Vermintide has been much loved by the Warhammer franchise fans and the game picked up a strong player base that continues to this day. Hopefully, we’ll find out the juicy details about the mysterious DLC and what that entails. New locations? Characters? New campaign? Time will tell, although don’t take too long. It is the end times after all.
