Riders of Icarus just keeps on trucking with its MMO self, and the free-to-play game’s open beta is getting a major update that will raise the level cap and add a bunch of content for those higher levels. If the following sounds familiar, it’s because we streamed a bit of the new stuff ahead of the release earlier this week. Look, there are only so many ways you can write it up.
The Blight of Frost Keep update will up the level cap to 35, providing you with 10 more levels of skills and abilities. Along with the added level count, you’ll have a whole bunch of new content to explore. You’ll start in Parna’s Coast, a frozen land as vast as the Hakanas Highlands, filled with powerful monsters to defeat or command.

The Frost Keep is commanded by Rondo Terramunce and the Frost Guard, and provides you ample opportunity to add new ghostly familiars to menagerie. The Cavern of the Veil is filled with dangerous bosses hiding powerful rewards, and if you can manage to survive the cave’s enchanted tricks, you might just find a one-of-kind creature to tame.
