Drool, the developers of Thumper, have announced a release date for their rhythm action game. If you haven’t seen any footage of Thumper, we definitely recommend checking out the trailer. You don’t have to have any fears about this game, it’s being made by a two-person team who previously worked at Harmonix, the developers of Guitar Hero, Rock Band and Dance Central.
The music in Thumper is probably going to be rad, which is exactly why Drool are releasing a Collector’s Edition of the game that comes with game’s music on vinyl. ”Robert’s music and art were a key inspiration for Thumper and we can’t wait to hold this beautifully designed package in our hands!” says developer Marc Flury. Can you believe this game is going to be a PSVR launch title? We expect the number of epileptic seizures to rise by at least 0.5% during Thumper’s launch week. Speaking of PSVR, someone on Steam asked if Thumper was coming to VR, to which Flury replied “Not yet, but we hear you!”. I’m not saying you should get excited, but I am definitely excited about that.
Thumper is scheduled to release on October 13th for PC and PlayStation 4/PSVR.
