Your Burning Questions About Playstation Now on PC
The RPCS3 team announced this big range of games in a Blog update, as well as giving full details on how they accomplished it. While not all of the games are fully playable, and most run quite slowly at the moment, these are huge strides towards make RPCS3 run them with a stable and playable framerate.
The full range of PS3 exclusives the emulator is now capable of playing include:
- God of War I & II:</b> Playable!
- God of War III:</b> Runs, framerate needs improving.
- God of War: Ascension:</b> Runs, but not much more.
- Uncharted 1:</b> Playable, but speed needs improving.
- Ratchet & Clank I, II, III, IV:</b> Playable, but has flickering
- LittleBigPlanet II and III:</b> Playable!
- WipEout HD:</b> Playable!
- inFamous 1 and 2:</b> Playable, but graphically broken right now.
- Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale:</b> Playable, but unstable.
- Heavenly Sword:</b> Playable! A little unstable still though.
- Gran Turismo HD Concept:</b> Playable but a bit slow.
- Motorstorm RC:</b> Playable, with a few graphical issues.
</ul>
They also gave status updates on the likes of The Last of Us, Uncharted 2 & 3, Killzone 2 & 3, Gran Turismo 5 & 6 and Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction, which aren't yet playable but they are making strides towards that.
As you can see, the team still have a way to go before these games are as fully playable on PC with a good framerate through RPCS3 as Demon's Souls already is, but these are great strides towards that. Up until recently most of these games didn't even load or crashed all the time, now most of them can be played all the way through.
At the moment though, the best way to experience a lot of these is through Sony streaming service PlayStation Now. We wish the team the best of luck though, and we'll be paying attention to their endeavours.
