According to an Interim Report from Leyou Technologies, who own Warframe developer Digital Extremes and Dirty Bomb/Gears of War 4 developer Splash Damage, a new Third-Person Survival Horror Shooter is in development at Splash Damage for release in 2018.

You can read the interim report here if you wish. It mostly talks about the earnings of the various Leyou holdings, from Splash Damage and Digital Extremes to Leyou's chicken business. In between the talk of Dirty Bomb in the Splash Damage section was this sentence:
"Splash Damage Group is developing several new games. It is worth noting that, a third-person survival horror shooter game masterpiece is in the preliminary development stage and is expected to start generating revenue in as early as 2018."
This is certainly the first we've heard of such a title. It should be pointed out that this will almost certainly be a multiplayer game as Splash Damage has never developed a single-player title, and the term "generating revenue" suggests it may be free-to-play. If we were to hazard a guess it may be akin to something like 7 Days To Die or even DayZ, if we focus on the "survival" part, but obviously there's not much to go on. We'd love for them to be working on a Left 4 Dead-type game, or maybe even a Resident Evil multiplayer title, but maybe that's too much to hope for.
Splash Damage was acquired by Chinese chicken supplier Leyou in 2016, who got into the videogames business by wisely investing in Warframe developer Digital Extremes and subsequently discovering that 70% of their gross profit came from games. While Dirty Bomb is their main focus right now they have also developed multiplayer for Batman: Arkham Origins (which was surprisingly good), Gears of War 4, and are the only developer other than creators id Software to have worked on the Wolfenstein, Doom and Quake franchises.
