All the talk of revised combat mechanics and more balanced gameplay coming to For Honor new have a real release date, it seems. The switch-up will land August 15 - the same day as the two newly revealed champions.
Ushering in Season 3 on the very same day, For Honor players new and old will likely notice the game feeling very different to the day before. Two long-reach classes will become available for Season Pass holders with new maps and gamemodes unlocking instantly for all.
Fighting for the Knights and Vikings respectively, the Gladiator and Highlander classes bring a new level of brutality to the killing fields. With a lengthy trident as their disposal, the Gladiator can reach in for a noteworthy distance with quick, successive attacks while still managing a decent defense with a shield in the other hand. Being the musclemen of the fight, they're more than willing to sneak a punch in there if it means a second or two of stun time; and with rapid cooldown times, these guys rarely let up.

Major Shake-ups Are Coming To For Honor's 'Wait and See' Combat Meta
The Highlander, on the other hand, boasts the longest striking distance of any class currently available thanks to their gargantuan claymore. With the combat system changing to encourage more attacking and less blocking, the Highlander is encouraged to regularly switch between the two. A blade of a that size makes for some strong parry possibilities.
While most of the Title Update's content will be free of charge for all, the heroes won't become available for non-season pass holders until August 22. After that, they'll set you back 15,000 'steel' a piece.
