We don't usually cover much of the eSports beat here at GameWatcher, but after a weekend of solid Rocket League play during the Rocket League Championship League Qualifiers, there's no reason not to comment on the massive show of strength demonstrated by Dan "Bluey" Bluett.
Across the course of the event, the RLCS Twitter handle dished out a couple of highlight shots from Bluey's stellar performance in the latter half of the day.

Securing a spot in this year's main event - the Rocket League Championship Series - Bluey and the rest of his new Frontline team performed exceptionally well in unison, earning him the attention-spurring title of Player of the Week following an impressive on-the-wall double tap and several well-angled aeriel shots close to the goal.

Though likely not garnering him as much attention as the RLCS shout-outs, Twitter users @Rocket_Dailies captured the moment Bluey scored a goal by boucing from a nearby ball to boost himself underneath a falling ball to redirect the shot straight into the goal with the underside of his car. Though Bluey has been very fluid with his choice of teams over the last year (Frontline being his sixth), his TeamLiquid profile shows impressive results from both major and minor tournaments. A constant force at the minor-tier Insomnia LAN events in his home country of England, winning 1st place in two and second in the last, he went on to score 5th place at the massive Dreamhack 2017 tournament - an impressive accolade considering Bluey is one of the game's youngest professional players at just 15 years old.
Earning the spot in the RLCS before having to take on Frontline and Bluey himself, Niels "Nielskoek" Kok of team Excel took to Twitter to announce a sigh of relief that he managed to dodge a run-in with the rising star. Calling him 'insane' is starting to become somewhat of a nickname for the young pro, as the highlight reels have caused more and more watchers to throw similar compliments at him through the social network. With a spot now secured, the next time to see Bluey and Frontline compete is set for September 10 over on Twitch. You can catch the rest of the dates here.
This kid's insane. @BlueyRL tumbles off a cliff and then bungees back up into a goal. Just a terrifying shot. (via @TormentRL) pic.twitter.com/4U7Er213Go
