A ship that was never fully completed in real life, the Ashitaka was scrapped in 1924 due to limitations imposed by the 1922 Washington Naval Treaty.

One of four Amagi-class battlecruisers, the Ashitaka would have a top speed of 30 knots and ten 410 mm guns, making it a veritable force in the seas at the time.
