With the heavy focus on taking us up into space in recent years, it's becoming increasingly difficult to remember which game is which. Team 17 has released a new Aven Colony trailer to reassert itself into the proverbial space race of 2017 video games.
Starting out a peaceful enough affair, the mood of Aven Colony quickly descends into a light panic with some menacing music and a foreign gas.
Whether you're pumping it out of your ventilation shafts, producing it as a by-product of your space station, purposefully crafting it as a defence agent or are being attacked by it isn't clear - but the green substance seems to play a pivotal role either way. Those cannons lining up their shot are certainly there to scare away the large birds overhead, however. That much is clear.
Even Without A Release Date, Chris Managed To Preview Aven Colony Late Last Year
For the most part, Aven Colony is all about surviving on the desolate planet of Aven Prime. We've head about the end of the world and how humans will, at one point or another, have to escape and colonise a new planet. This is making it a reality. Disease plagues the land and natural disasters are just as popular as ever. Create an establishment were the life of your kind can survive its harsh environments and bring the human race into a new age.
Just like before, there's still no solid release date in mind for Aven Colony. The trailers are forever teasing a Q2 2017 release, but nothing more than that.
