Carrying on a trend started earlier this year, KOEI TECMO have announced the localization of a project that released in Japan over Spring - the GUST-born JRPG Blue Reflection.
Now set for a September 29 release, Blue Reflection marks another step for the group's couragous push onto the PC platform and another instance of a GUST game making the jump from a Sony platform.
Unlike GUST's past PC releases earlier this year, Blue Reflection joins Atelier Firis in being localised and ported to the open platform in the year of its Japanese release. Atelier Sophie and Nights of Azure were both ported earlier that year after released in 2016 and 2015 respectively.
Past GUST Games Have Struggled To Transfer Their Stunning Artwork Into In-Game Assets
Blue Reflection sees a slight deviation from GUST's other works. Rather than focusing on the world of Alchemists or hunting demons in a bloodstained world, Blue Reflection is a bright and colourful title set in an all-girls high school in modern Japan. Of course, still retaining a fantasy vibe, these girls fit into the atypical Magical Girl genre that's become a staple across the world for decades. Shying away from civilzation after a tragic accident, two twins bestow Hinako with the power to manipulate the world of 'The Common'.
Though the game released months ago in Japan, KOEI TECMO are commited to trickling out further information and footage over the coming months. Pre-purchase is available now with bonus goodies like a swimsuit costume and cross-over clothes from other GUST titles.
