Unlike Sony's unruly grasp of exclusivity when it comes to cementing Resident Evil 7's VR mode to their PSVR platform until sometime next year, BATTLEZONE hasn't fallen victim to the same lengthy fate.
Set to break the chains of its current PlayStation VR exclusivity, Rebellion's BATTLEZONE is set to hit PCs running Oculus Rift of HTC Vive headsets in due course.
Despite not holding onto a solid release date just yet, Rebellion is gearing up to offer strict Closed Beta access to the title as early as next week with sign-ups closing this Thursday, April 13. Should you manage to be one of the lucky few to make the cut, expect the game to go live on April 19 - that's less than a week after sign-ups!

Regarded as one of the better PlayStation VR launch titles, BATTLEZONE should help fill in the content gaps typically suffered by the Vive and Rift when it comes to full-fledged VR offerings. Originally only announced to support Oculus Rift upon it leaving the PlayStation VR platform behind, HTC Vive support has been confirmed alongside proper Oculus Touch support, too. Ultra-high resolution textures and more details shadows should set it apart from its PSVR counterpart, too.
